Fennimore Wisconsin – On March 13, 2025, at 12:02 P.M., the Grant County Sheriff’s Office was notified of a motorcycle crash on Hwy 61 at Cty T in Hickory Grove

Township. Fennimore Fire and EMS responded to the scene along with the Sheriff’s Office and Fennimore Police Department.

During the investigation, it was determined that William Simmons, 79 of Hazel Green, was riding his 2014 Honda CTX1300 north on Hwy 61.

Simmons was riding in a group with two friends, which were ahead of Simmons. The two other riders had slowed down near the intersection

with CTH T. Simmons didn’t notice the others had slowed down, which caused him to have to lay the motorcycle down to avoid hitting the

other riders. Simmons was wearing total protective gear and received minor injures as a result. Mr. Simmons was treated at the scene by

Fennimore EMS. Simmons’ motorcycle received minor damage and was able to be driven from the scene.
