Theses are charges and all subjects are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

[Dubuque Iowa ] – Scott Marcov and Madelyn Marcov are facing multiple felony and misdemeanor charges following an incident where their one-year-old child suffered serious injuries. According to official records, the charges stem from incidents occurring in late September and early October of 2024.

The most severe charge, a Class C felony, is for “NEGLECT OR ABANDONMENT OF DEPENDENT PERSON. This charge is related to an incident where the one-year-old child reportedly fell into a bucket of bleach.

Further charges include:

* CHILD ENDANGERMENT – SERIOUS INJURY: A Class C felony, dated October 1, 2024.

* CHILD ENDANGERMENT: An aggravated misdemeanor, dated September 24, 2024.

* CHILD ENDANGERMENT: An aggravated misdemeanor, also dated September 24, 2024.

Details emerging from court documents indicate the one year old child, suffered acute respiratory failure, and loss of consciousness. Reports also indicate that the childs head was submerged in the bucket of bleach for an undisclosed amount

According to court records, Judge Thomas A. Bitter has issued an “ORDER FOR ARRAIGNMENT” The Marcovs are scheduled to be arraigned on March 17, 2025, at 9:00 AM in courtroom 3104. This arraignment will be a formal reading of the charges against them, where they will be asked to enter a plea.

If convicted, they face significant penalties.
