Friday, October 7, 2022, at approximately 3:26pm, the Jo Davies County Dispatch center received multiple 911 reports of a three vehicle accident on Highway 20 East. 1/5 mile east of Evans Rd., rural Stockton, Dennis Bardell was traveling westbound on Highway 20 when he struck the rear of the vehicle driven by Kevin Halminiak causing it the vehicle to overturn on Highway 20. Dennis Bardell’s vehicle then collided with the vehicle driven by Jeni Pearce’s before the vehicle left the roadway, coming to a rest in a ditch off highway 20.

Kevin Halminiak was transported by Stockton Ambulance to Freeport Memorial Hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries. Jeni Pearce and Dennis Bardell were treated by Stockton Ambulance on the scene, where a refusal was signed.

Dennis Bardell was issued a citation for Failure to Reduce Speed to Avoid an Accident.

This crash remains under investigation.
