The Iowa Supreme Court upheld Eddie Hicks’s homicide conviction. Hicks was arguing his defense attorney was ineffective. In June 2015, Hicks stabbed his girlfriend many times and struck her in the head with a frying pan. Hicks is serving life in prison.
