In December Gray Death was found during a drug arrest In Boscobel Wisconsin.

A newly created synthetic narcotic has made its way to the Tri-States. The term Grey Death is a slang term which refers to a dynamic mixture of manufactured opioids. Samples have found to contain heroin, fentanyl, carfentanil, and the designer narcotic U47700, a strong narcotic. Gray death, as its name would imply, has a gray or ashen color and appears like concrete mixing powder, in chunks, or in rocks, and can be mixed in other drugs by dealers for sale.

Carefentanil is a large animal tranquilizer often used to anesthetize elephants, found in the production. If carfentanil is mixed in the product, it could add to the rapidly lethal effect. Carfentanil is 100 times more potent than fentanyl and 10,000 times more potent than morphine.

Fentanyl is all so finding its way into other drugs: Marijuana, Marijuana oil for vapes and other narcotics in the Dubuque County area.

The users goal is to gain the euphoric effects of opiates; however, the lethal, depressive effects on breathing probably take over quickly with this illegal drug. Effects from opiates can include:

  • shallow breathing
  • pinpoint pupils
  • nausea or vomiting
  • dizziness
  • lethargy
  • cold or clammy skin
  • loss of consciousness
  • heart failure

Note, physicians are saying gray death is resistant to Narcan and it could take up to 5 to 10 doses before they may see any effect. Simple put, its deadly.
